Blenheim Palace was built betweem 1705 and 1722 as a gift from the nation to the 1st Duke of Marlborough for his military triumph against the French.
It is now the home of 11th Duke of Marlborough and was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
The Palace is set in 2000 acres of parkland. Visit the house and the
magnificent gardens which were landscaped by 'Capability' Brown in the 1760's. The Palace is now a World Heritage site.

| Holkham Hall, Norfolk |

Holkham Hall in Norfolk is a large palladian mansion built between 1734 and 1764. It was designed by William Kent for Thomas Coke who was the 1st Earl of Leicester.
Visitors can tour the house and gardens and visit the pottery and Ancient House art gallery nearby.
You can also take a nature walk around the open parkland. Holkham hosts concert performances during the summer. |

Blickling Hall is a National Trust property in Norfolk. It is a large jacobean house, with formal gardens, parkland and lakeside walks.
Built in the early 17th centuary, Blickling is famed for its long gallery which houses one of the finest private collections of rare books in England.
Blickling offers guided estate walks, open air concerts and theatre performances during the summer months.

Castle Howard is a stately home in Yorkshire, 25 miles (40 km) north of York.
It is one of the grandest private residences in the country. It was built between 1699 and 1712 for the 3rd Earl of Carlisle, to a design by Sir John Vanbrugh,
and has been the home of the Howard family for over 300 years. |
